Selected for the third consecutive year, the MPower initiative will scale its hospitality job training program to equip human trafficking survivors with critical career skills. As of June 2025, the SAFE Center has trained 50 survivors in the D.C. region and, with national partners, over 400 survivors across the country.<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:39px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>WASHINGTON <\/strong>(<strong>July 30, 2025<\/strong>)&nbsp;\u2013 AHLA Foundation today convened survivors, experts and industry leaders at its annual No Room for Trafficking (NRFT) Summit to advance best practices and reaffirm the industry\u2019s commitment to combating human trafficking through collaboration, education and resources to uplift survivors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the event, the Foundation also announced the recipients of its 2025-2026 NRFT Survivor Fund grants, which provide funding to organizations offering services and resources that support survivors on their path forward. The event coincided with the United Nations World Day against Trafficking in Persons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cFor years, the No Room for Trafficking initiative has leveraged our resources to unite the hotel industry against human trafficking,\u201d said Kevin Carey, AHLA Foundation President &amp; CEO. \u201cThe NRFT Summit serves as a powerful call-to-action, bringing together the industry and our partners to strengthen our commitment and drive meaningful change.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Summit featured several keynotes and panel discussions, including insights from lived experience experts on the complexities of survivor employment, as well as sessions with vendors and industry stakeholders focused on amplifying human trafficking prevention efforts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The NRFT Survivor Fund continues to provide crucial support to community-based, anti-human trafficking organizations and initiatives. Since 2023, the Survivor Fund has awarded more than $2.35 million to support programs across 27 organizations nationwide.
